How do I choose between 2-way and 4-way stretch for my dance costume?

4-way stretch is essential for high-performance dancewear as it expands both horizontally and vertically, allowing for maximum range of motion. We recommend our heavy-weight tricot for competitive costumes to ensure full coverage and durability.

Can Spandex Palace fabrics be used for professional swimwear?

Yes. Many of our polyester-spandex blends are chlorine-resistant and provide the UV protection needed for swimwear. Our vibrant hologram and foil prints are specially treated to retain their luster even after water exposure.

Is it possible to order fabric samples before committing to a bulk order?

Absolutely. We offer comprehensive color cards for our most popular lines, including our Foggy Foil, Moon Light, and Shattered Glass collections, so you can verify weight and color before purchasing.

Do you offer wholesale pricing for small business owners and studios?

Yes, we support our community through a robust wholesale program. Orders from our Los Angeles warehouse can save up to 35% on bulk quantities, with wholesale pricing from 10 yards, helping costume designers and boutique shops maximize profitability.

What is the best way to care for foil and hologram fabrics?

To preserve the shine of your performance textiles, we recommend hand washing in cold water with mild detergent and hanging to dry. Avoid high heat or abrasive scrubbing, which can dull the metallic finish.

"Spandex" (also known as Elastane or Lycra) is a synthetic fiber prized for its exceptional elasticity. However, in professional textiles, the quality of the fabric is determined by the base fiber blend:

Nylon Spandex (The Athlete’s Choice): Offers a soft, silky "hand-feel" and superior color vibrance. It is the industry standard for high-end dancewear and swimwear because it resists moisture absorption and maintains its shape.
Polyester Spandex (The Designer’s Choice): Known for its extreme durability and resistance to UV rays. It is the preferred base for digital sublimation printing, ensuring that intricate patterns don't fade or "grin through" (show white) when stretched.
